Current Responsibilities
Al Gutierrez is a Managing Director at JLL’s Stamford location. He leads a team of commercial real estate brokers that provide Tenant and Landlord advisory and investment sales in the northern markets of New York City. Al also specializes in healthcare and is known for his strategic approach when working through complicated deals.

Experience
With 20+ years’ experience in commercial real estate, Al has been responsible for transactions totaling more than eight million square feet. His role often involves multi-party negotiations, buy out and relocating tenants, phased in, build out, occupancy and financial strategies, helping clients maximize on deal economics.
He has successfully worked on many notable assignments including the Jones Group sublease to PepsiCo, the repositioning of 555 Tuckahoe Road on behalf of Alfred Weissman Real Estate (AWRE), the repositioning of 2100 Bartow Avenue in the Bronx for government agencies and the consolidation of Scarsdale Medical Group.

Education and affiliations

Al holds a bachelor of business administration from Pace University – Lubin School of Business.
Al has been a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) since 1996, serving on the board of directors 1997 – 2005, and president 2002 – 2004. He has been recognized by the NAIOP for a “2019 and 2016 Deal of the Year” in CT and NY, as well as the Westchester Business Council for the “40 Under 40 Award” in 2007, and the “Distinguished Service Award” from the Westchester Chapter of BOMA.
Highly involved in his community, Al served as a board chairman of Latino U College Access, a non-profit organization that provides college access, college success, and career readiness programs to Latino students. He was formerly President of the Westchester Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Westhab and the YMCA of Central and Northern Westchester.
